XPost: alt.politics.usa.republican, alt.gossip.celebrities, talk.politics.misc       XPost: talk.politics.guns       From: daily.mexican@gazette.com              V. Saxena V. SAXENA FEBRUARY 23, 2015       A loony-tunes batch of loony tunes speaking on the loony-tune       network known as MSNBC claimed that conservative opposition to       executive amnesty is partially rooted in racism, reports       Breitbart:              “This 26-state lawsuit [against the president’s executive       action] also includes five states that have the whitest       population in our country, including Maine. What does Maine       really even care about what’s happening around immigration since       such a small portion of its population is immigrant? And to some       extent, I think there is a general concern that we do need to       have as liberals about where immigration and issues of people of       color fit into our broader agenda” [writer and speaker Sayu]       Bhojwani stated.              Later, [Democratic Strategist Jamal] Simmons continued this line       of argumentation, saying “we’re talking about Latin American       immigration. Because, I grew up in Michigan, the place is       overrun with Canadians. Nobody is worried about those Canadians.       Nobody’s worried about the waitresses — Eastern European       waitresses in New York City nightclubs who are overstaying.       Those aren’t the issues. People are talking about the fact that       they are concerned about having so many other Hispanics in the       country. And that is what we have to sort of grapple with.       There’s a racial element to this that Republicans don’t want to       have to deal with.”              *slams his head into a desk*              Nobody complains about Canadian immigrants because most of them       enter the United States legally. Likewise, nobody complains       about me because my family immigrated here legally. And nobody       complains about “That 70’s Show” character Fez because he’s       friggen funny! The point is that there is a drastic difference       between legal and illegal immigrants. Sadly, liberals seem       incapable of recognizing this.              Furthermore, according to data from the U.S. Customs and Border       Protection agency, “447,731 illegal crossers were apprehended       along the southwest border [in 2010], and 7,431 along the U.S.-       Canada border.” (H/T: CNS News)              Sighs . . .              It seems like liberals always do this. They use bullshit, lies       and distortions to paint a completely fictitious picture that       almost always involves racism.              Well, sorry libs, but Americans ain’t buying it no more!              http://downtrend.com/vsaxena/msnbc-oppositon-to-defacto-amnesty-       is-partially-rooted-in-racism                      --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
