   Whether conservative or libertarian (and no, they aren't the same   
   thing) policies have failed is beside the issue.  What you were   
   talking about in ignorance was the quotation, which was about the   
   failure of communism.  Conservatism doesn't hold that all are equal in   
   the first place.
