   And if you think that's nuts, I've seen people whine about how *alphabets*   
   ruined the world because reading one letter at a time promotes linear   
   thinking which causes patriarchy because wombs are round and therefore   
   linear is masculine or something.  Of course, they were whining in writing   
   in an alphabetic language.  ;)
