There is a reference to him settling down, becoming a family
man. WmG wanted to make sure he would not make Case reappear
but I wonder why he chose that solution rather than bumping
   him off.

I cannot pretend I have sampled all femme fatales but the ones I
have seen on the silver screen all had a tragic past that should
give a little sympathy at least. Also the main female character in
L.A. Confidential seemed like a femme fatale to me and was rather
   sympathetic.

I remember there were 3 scenarios here with different sets:
    - Usenet News: featuring Omixochitl (ref. her reply)
    - The Movement: the two women who influenced WmG to create Molly
    - Hollywood: I think I proposed both Maggie "Irma Vep" Cheung
as well as someone North African. I saw an ad with someone that
might be North African (possibly Targui) and thought why not
chose someone from a more uncommon place.

Who it will be in the end, if the movie ever will be made, seems
still the most discussed part of the casting. It will probably be
a surprise, were it, say, Britney Spears I sure would be astonished.
