   You forget the 2 major things for freelancers in the shadows. First -   
   they depend on their reputation. They'll only get jobs if they have the   
   reputation that they can be trusted. The sararimen don't need them.   
   They're expendable, there's enough of them. Second: the power of a   
   sarariman. He's got money and that means he can do anything. And he's   
   part of the company. If he does not step over the line he can be as   
   criminal as he wants. The company protects him.
