I did. It worked really well. Only once have I experienced a
delay in Shinkansen. It was about 5 minutes but the loudspeakers
announced the humblest of apologies, sincerely too, until
the train arrived. Such is major news.

Rather simplified: the exceptionally well dressed are what is
called "Office Ladies" (OL), secretaries in a way. The medium
well dressed ones are not; rather students or in their careers
and often having spent some time abroad (often Australia) and
speak English confidently. This is a common advice and it works
rather well. I passed this advice to a then colleague of mine
and it worked well. He even got married...

A PhD will work, a Masters degree might also work.

Akihabara Electric Town as it also is known as, has lots of
shops selling all kinds of high tech, much of which will
never be exported. You can even buy discrete electronic
components. I see Wikipedia has an article about it, and
mentions something about adult goods. I guess that would
   be high tech goods.

There is also Tsukuba, the capital of science in Japan. The
city is a little sterile, not much to see.

Don't let that stop you. His writing doesn't worry me. Well at
times it kind of does but that is in a different way.

Isn't that PastoralPunk? Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is a
   bit like that.

Two weeks is a short time. You can easily spend years.
