    there's Words Made Flesh[~1970] about the probability that our world   
   really is the Matrix.   
      
   and there's Joseph Campbell's Hero with a Thousand Faces [1949] which   
   was the whole plot line of the matrix, neuromancer, hardwired, etc.   
   etc.   
      
   No Tron was a virus pretending to be an OS...   
      
   Maybe that's where Bill got the idea for windows... [MCP = Microsoft
