"Unified look?" If a social movement can be summed up with an outfit, it's
probably not one worth being associated with.

You decide your own level of involvement. Want to protest? Protest. Want
to blog? Blog. Want to blow things up? Hey, I won't tell you not to.
Just make sure it's not my stuff. Invest what you want. Decide for
yourself if it's worth it - not that that should matter to anyone but
yourself. Asking political activists how involved you should be is similar
to asking a car salesman what kind of car you want. Make that choice on
your own. Be prepared to defend it but don't feel that you should.

Each day/week/month/year, lure a perfectly rational "average" person into a
philosophical conversation - figure out what their views are; then, try to
change them. (Even if you're in agreement with them.) Get them thinking -
they probably haven't done much of it yet. Most of them never thought to
question why things are the way they are. They're not comfortable with it.
Force the issue. Repeat as necessary. You won't see the results in your
   lifetime. Their children may.
