Read my post over next door in the "Not Cyberpunk" thread.

To "take sides" is likely to get you crushed in the current social /
political milieu in the Corporate States of America.

Consider what impact the "free love, hippie, flower power" movement of
the late 1960s / early 1970s has had on current social / political
   movements.

Corporate welfare is at an all time high while relatively speaking the
poor are poorer. Yet the growth of the "corporate state" has allowed
such fashion statements as the "CP of the 90's" to flourish.

Living in "Bohemia" is not a political statement nor a social
statement. It is what it is-- whether that is art, literature, or a
state of existance remains to beseen.

The likelihood that "bohemia" will ever take control of the
sociao-political machinery is nil. Face that. Get over it. Then go
ahead and do whatever makes you happy. Just remember that unless you
"sell out" [an old CP tradition] you will not survive the attentions
the State can bring to bear on you.

bohemia in amerika still survives if only barely. They can [and
probably will] make everything illegal but so far they cannot prevent
a mind from thinking its own thoughts.
