   A few quick facts that a bit of digging on the Microsoft website turned   
   up. According to their website Microsoft was founded in 1975. Microsoft   
   released MSDOS in 1981. Microsoft Windows was announced in 1983 but   
   didn't ship till 1985. (Remember, this is Windows 1.0 we're talking   
   about, not 3.1 which didn't come out till the 90's.)
