   I've been there once, back in 1994-95 (though I was up near Düsseldorf   
   for most of that time), but now I'm about as far from Germany as you   
   can get while still being on land.   
      
   What kind of work will you be doing at TU Darmstadt? I met a guy from   
   there once, who was doing augmented reality research/consultancy in my   
   lab. From memory, TU Darmstadt has close ties to the Fraunhofer   
   Institut, where they've done a bunch of projects that'd be interesting   
   to people who like cyberpunk tech (like Roomware, at Fraunhofer IPSI).   
      
   Sounds like a fun place to be, in any case. Hope the job goes well,   
   and you track down some interesting friends to hang out with.
