   My favourites of the last two years (in order of preference):   
      
   Ghost in the shell - stand alone complex - 2nd gig   
   comes highly recommended, certainly very enjoyable, nice graphics, good   
   plot/character development if you like the ghost in the shell universe.   
      
   Texhnolyse   
   keeps you guessing, as a non-japanese speaker i found it a challenge at   
   times to follow the plot, but it was very interesting, lot of violent   
   sequences and katana/yakuza, characters seemed a little distant to me,   
   but that didnt detract from it for me.   
      
   Ergo proxy   
   very nice graphics, series starts strong, and progressively goes down   
   hill, culminating sadly in an anti climax. definately worth watching   
   though, given the limited cyberpunk anime available. this could have been   
   an awsome anime, forgiving its failings in the plot department.   
      
   Havnt seen The Big O, will check it out, although I still havnt got   
   around to watching the new Gundam series, so, lots of stuff on my 'to   
   watch' list...
