Sourcerer hears the shout from the front row. "Some of these punks are
tough", he thinks wanting Omar. In the Rancho however, there is only
the Other Omar. His chilling apparition at the end of the last beauty
contest has left the audience a bit shaken. So, before inflicting more
of the Cthuluian Omar on them, Sourcerer decides to show some lighter
   fare.

With a "toing" from the Mirror, the stage below begins to glow with a
   dystopian light...

   Oh, dick@aol.com,
look what's become of us without you.

   Oh, dick@aol.com.
a.cp is a hollow shell without you.

Other trolls may come and go,
   analytical, virtuoso,

   Trolls that give us vertigo,
   but they're not *you,*

   they're not you,
   oh dick@aol.com!

The cyberpunks ashiver in their concrete holes
Should not be forced to suffer such incompetent trolls!

   Oh, dick@aol.com!
Tho' the trashcan fires have stopped burning,

   Oh dick@aol.com,
   Cyberpunk hearts are still yearning.

   Your trolls they were true,
   we're still waiting for you,

   oh, dick@aol.com!

she was very happy, having discovered the elusive Green Merciless
Cyberpunk hiding under a table in a Starbucks in Palo Alto. She was not
a professional, only an avid amateur, and she could never remember the
Latin for the cyberpunks she collected. But she liked going out in the
field. It gave her something to do. She had collected over fifty (her
daddy had given her the Eleven-Year-Old Applecheeked Cyberpunk for
   Christmas).

She approached the Green 'Punk cautiously. Her field guide, a landmark
text written years ago by one Omar Haneef and supplemented with Curious
Engravings by someone called Sourcerer, had warned her that Green
Merciless 'Punks (or GMs; she liked abbreviations and acronyms) were, as
they themselves would perhaps say, "hardcore." But she had her
chloroform, and her bag, and if worst came to worst, her needles; and
she kind of liked it when they put up a fight. And although this GM
under the table looked a little shabby, his coloring faded in places,
she was sure he'd look wonderful pinned into the velvet-lined box, his
dreads all spread out around his head. When she had him fixed she'd
make sure that the lovely tattoo on his wrist was clearly visible
(tattooed subspecies were not any more rare or unusual than the unmarked
nominates, but she had a fondness for them.) What a fine collection she
was developing! Her eyes twinkled as she crouched down, in her
Starbucks camoflauge, and approached the half-concealed 'Punk, coming
   closer and closer...

Poly, all bundled up in coat and boots, stands knee deep in fresh snow
in the woods not too far from .mpa's cave. She is oblivious to the cold
as she excitedly makes an entry in her Life List booklet for cyberpunk
   sightings:

   DATE: Wednesday, January 3, 1996
   TIME: 4:37pm
WHERE: Back 40, Rancho Deluxe (northsouthwest of .mpa)

   	Genus: LUSENETTER
   	Species:	'Cyberpunk'
   	Variety:	Legendary AOL'er

NOTE: Deep snow, twilight. Recording first sighting of *year*, not
life. Can hardly wait to tell the others at supper tonight!

Tucking her notebook back into her coat's zippered pocket, she trudges
back up the hill towards the path that leads eventually to the warmth
   and light of the Rancho.

Sourcerer listens to the laughs and woofs, and wonders whether to
unleash the Other Omar on them so soon. Can they bear it? Is he so
   cruel?
