   It's funny, I left the Usenet for many years because I was sick of the   
   trolls (my killfile had *LITERALLY* grown to a couple of megs in size!) and   
   lack of quality conversation.   
      
   That said, I've been spending more time on the Usenet (and gopher, too) to   
   get away from the "noise" on more contemporary platforms...
