   In a previous episode, I wrote in my usual, congenial manner:

   This is most puzzling, Maestro. You see, I have this theory that   
   people who type in all lowercase are more likely to be women. On the   
   other hand, I have this theory that people who give themselves titles   
   like "Captain", "Agent", "Major", and even "Maestro" are more likely   
   to be men. Are you something in between, pray tell?   
      
   The place is alt.flame, by the way.

   I'm afraid you'll have to tell me what you mean by it. There are   
   almost as many definitions as there are definers, as is often the case   
   with alternative spellings used mainly to differentiate the speller   
   from those who spell words correctly. One can effortlessly find sites   
   describing "vampyres" as real vampires, as opposed to the creatures   
   depicted in popular culture. One can also find the opposite view   
   expressed - i.e., vampires are loons who take things seriously and   
   "vampyres" are lesser loons who only like to pretend.   
      
   > So, is your poor attempt to make fun of people with a remarkably more   
   > interesting private life than your own finished now?   
      
   If these people only have one private life to share amongst them, I'd   
   like to make fun of them some more, no matter how interesting that one   
   life is. Is their shared, interesting (to be sure) life the reason   
   they dress so much alike?
