The fact that you can       refer to nothing more precise than "the notion of cyberpunk" should be a       hint why. It's not your fault; I mean when this thread is ended there       will be nothing more on the table than what you brought to it: "the       notion of cyberpunk" -- different notions, some better or worse, but       just notions. Making a difference in the way you mean requires something       more apt to the task.              Cyberpunks I know who want to make a difference get involved politically       and socially. They take their cyberpunk with them into a broader       framework. Perhaps they can influence or imbue it with some useful       cyberpunk qualities; their skillsets are useful, too.               |
