a2f332f6       From: trminlxGARBAGE@bitstreamnet.com              So...              I'm trying to figure out why it sucks as badly as everyone says it does.       Granted the fact that I saw it on an IMAX screen helped.              So, the critics bitch because it didn't deliver .. something or other       they're rather vague on that. One of the first bitches in here was that       it was a typical hollywood ending ... except that the girl dies, the       hero dies and he doesn't even get to see the sunset much less ride off       into it. But it was a pretty cool sunset.              the war is over, well for the moment. Wonder how many times that's       happened in the past with Zion and Machine World.              Then the complaint about no new supereffects type bullshit stuffs... I       dunno, the Zion fight scene was kinda neat. Topside was fairly cool.       Machine City was really neat IMO, very Geiger - the buildings move! -       and the funeral barge at the end was an interesting touch.              My only comment on them going over the clouds:       *POP* out of the cloud bank, "yee-haw!", *POP* back into it.              Machines fight stupid though, I can see the Machine General .. "ok,       swarm around randomly until you see a shiny object then obliterate the       shiny object by ramming it really really hard." Said shiny object being       anything that moved.              Neo's last words should've been "woah." not "aaaahhhh!" ... or is that       typecasting the guy too much? I did like the Train Station .. run off,       run back on, "shit."              It wasn't high brow cinema. The message has been done to death in       stories since people learned to tell them. It at least looked pretty       cool. It's a movie, it's a decent movie. Trilogy I suppose. Well, you       know I have a bone to pick with that thought. It's really 2 Movies, the       second one was just split in half with a six month wipe between scenes.              I did like how Deus Ex Machina was a massive collection of machines       instead of just one machine. No little man behind a curtain there.                     ghost       ~/~ Sometimes I forget to pray I'll make it through this fucking day ~/~        www.accanthology.com ~/~ www.bitstreamnet.com        take out the GARBAGE to email.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
