   I'm already used to stories where you have a large amount of background   
   involved and then most of it is ignored for the important story   
   elements. That is a very common theme in Anime, you can tell there's   
   this huge world behind everything and then the story tells you only   
   about this one little bit over here ... and yes the story is cheesy.
