|    Very old prosthetic arm    |

From: none@none.none              Ahoy.              Flashback to a year or two ago. I read some website that mentioned what       the author claimed was one of the oldest cybernetic devices; an arm worn       by a knight or a king or a lord in Europe in the age of knights and       lords and kings. Apparently it is now stored in a museum in Germany.              I appreciate how vague this is, but does it ring a bell for anyone? If       you know of a site with better info than above, it would be much       appreciated.              Sorry for using 'appreciate' twice, it reads badly. Also, as a point of       trivia, there is apparently an older prosthetic limb, a wood-and-metal       leg found on a dead fellow somewhere in Italy. And there were probably       fake teeth a long time ago too. But arms are more interesting than teeth.              Thanks.              -S-              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
