   yes and no.. i'm running a local spool.. solely for my own use. its a   
   much simpler setup really.. leafnode pulls in articles from the   
   different servers i read from and sticks everything in one spool.. i can   
   ssh in from work and read via slrn .. as Sourcerer mentioned it cuts the   
   s/n down to a reasnoble level.. u can filter on whatever criteria u like   
   (for example.. i kill anything x-posted to more than 3 ng's)   
      
   also.. i use like 5 different nntp's anymore (ssf.net, gmane.org for the   
   debian ng's, etc) and who wants to bother with all that BS? here i just   
   connect to localhost and its all there.   
      
   oh.. and i get that way cool"godeater.org" in the path ; )   
      
   i'm in the heart-breaking process of packing the original god-eater to   
   ship out to Ghost .. literally as we speak..
