   where you are born and where you are from can be very different. Being   
   born is a matter of geography when you leave the womb. Being From is a   
   matter of where you grew up and spent your formative years.   
      
   How old was he when he left SC? If he was less than a year or two and   
   moved to Virginia he may very well consider himself from Virginia since   
   he Grew Up there.
