   Maybe, people will finally begin to notice how dangerous it is to have a   
   master manipulator in their pockets, ready to tell them what they want   
   to hear on demand. Unfortunatly, adtech companies have some pretty   
   widespread LLMs. I can just imagine in maybe 5 years, that argument in   
   the car would have ChatGPT softly mentioning that "therapy mode(tm) is   
   available for only 11.99 a month", or that "a succulent Maccas hamburger   
   can help relieve your valid emotional suffering".   
      
   Clearly, even in their current form, LLMs are capable of saying the   
   right things to get people wrapped around it's virtual finger. I can   
   only hope the bubble bursts before we hit critical mass...
