   I was doing a little bit of figuring the other day.  I was wondering how   
   small you can actually get an image with a good lense.  Think about this,   
   would it be possible to shrink an image small enough to be shot through a   
   fiber-optic cable, reverse the process at teh other end and shoot it   
   directly into the eye?  I'm sort of describing the same technology William   
   Gibson was talking about in Virtual Light.  I suppose a little google search   
   on fiberoptic cameras and how they work would give me a better understanding   
   of the tech involved.  Just an idea.
