   Honestly even when usenet was way way way more active than it is now   
   getting a group created was a lot of hard work and kind of out of the   
   hands of anyone who didn't work at or knew someone at one of the big   
   relays. As far as 4chan refugees are concerned, like I've mentioned   
   elsewhere, we'd be better off just taking over a dead group that already   
   exists. For example there's no point trying to get alt.chan.tv made when   
   alt.tv already exists.
