   Right, so basically they are doing the " There were two economists who   
   were shipwrecked on a desert island. Over the next twenty years they made   
   124 billion dollars selling hats to each other." meme in real time.   
      
   Nvidia sells hardware to AI companies, who then have Nvidia give that   
   money back by buying equity stakes in their companies. Energy companies   
   make money by making gigawatt power deals with AI companies. Its one big   
   incestuous transfer of money in a musical chairs game.   
      
   Thing is though that AI companies still haven't turned a profit. I   
   honestly don't think they will, either. All this infrastructure so an AI   
   can spit out some pseudorandom text and maaaaybe take some lower end jobs.
