   Some of the comp.lang.* groups are alive like comp.lang.c, and a few in   
   the comp.os.linux hierarchy. They aren't going to be of universal   
   interest. comp.lang groups tend to have a better signal to noise ratio if   
   they're still alive. Possibly the older languages are more active since   
   they're greybeards who have been on usenet forever.
