   I'm very interesting in means of communication that are grass roots, not   
   controlled by any authority, self-hosted, and free. I've been aware of   
   lora for a long time now, but at the time it was work-related inquiry.   
   Meshtastic is interesting because it seems to be the start of a standard   
   protocol for sending messages via lora.  Has anyone messed with it?   
   Unfortunately for me I live in the woods, so I wouldnt have others to talk   
   to, so I'm less inclined to buy it on a whim.  I'd love to hear your   
   thoughts on the technology, especially if you've got first hand   
   experience.  What are the pros/cons?  Do people chat on it? What do you   
   use it for?
