   I lost the link because I saved it somewhere on my old laptop, but there   
   was someone running a bot on reddit, commenting and having discussion   
   with people without them even realizing that they were talking to a   
   machine... back in 2018.   
      
   Ironically, the future of internet discourse is in small communities   
   that are too insignificant to bot, just like how the internet started.   
   Even if sites like facebook on plebbit decided to enforce RealID™ with   
   the promise that you would only be talking to real people... how could   
   you trust that the site itself isn't running bots to talk with you? Or   
   that interested actors couldn't simply create entirely fake people?
