From: jason@slimes.ca              You see a lot of people shitting on finder, but they have no idea how       powerful finder is.              I'm going to make a few hints, others who know, post.              Proxy Icons.       You can put any item in any place by comand-click the Icon in the       Application, chooser or finder. Also, the reverse, you can drag a folder       or icon into the chooser for it to go to that folder/file.              for instance, if you open a text file, in an applications, the name and       icon is in the title bar. You can drag the icon to a new location       without saving first, and it will be there when close the program.              The vice-versa, when you use 'file->open', you can drag an icon into the       chooser and the path/file will be available.              This is 1980's level file choosing. Still not available in other OS       systems....              Applies to macOS now, but it took a while. CMD-Click the icon in any       window for a suprise! Yeah, this wasn't promoted to 'normie' users.              Wait til next episode, Folder Actions!              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
