   cool Idea.   
      
   hence plan 9.   
      
   But before that was ATALK.   
      
   You know, that thing that still exists as NETATALK?   
      
   You can execute programs via network, because the forks (complete   
   metadata)work like that.   
      
   Amazing and crazy huh? executing a program tunneled via anything to your   
   local computer?   
      
   That's crazy talk!   
      
   NETATALK. look it up. use it. its SMBFS x 1000.
