   This is legit exactly what happened. Had this craptop lying around and   
   wanted to turn it into a writing machine by only having barebones arch   
   linux and emacs on it.   
   It legit became my main machine because I do my work and my email and my   
   tabletop RPGing and it pretty much has everything I need.   
      
   Emacs is a rabbithole that I am thankful I fell into.
