   Nope. It's rather more like electrostatic. Nerve impulses are propagated by   
   means of exchanges of potassium and sodium ions across a membrane in the   
   nerve fibre not fiber, and within the brain, also by a chemical "transmitter   
   substance" which travels across synapses between neurones etc.   
      
   BTW, the hallucinogenic effects of LSD happen because it causes a sort of   
   overload effect by releasing huge amounts of this transmitter substance.   
      
   There's not a lot of people know that!
