   Well, a garden like yours is sure preferable to a lawn.   
      
   I wish everybody would turn their lawns into gardens.   
   Flower or vegetable, either one - anything but a lawn.   
      
   What good does a lawn do for a honey bee, butterflies    
   hummingbirds for example?   
      
   Come to think of it, lawns and all the chemicals and   
   pollution involved with lawns may well be the root cause   
   of bee colony collapse.
