   Facing attacks during day, NDRF takes to more night rescues

   New Delhi: With desperate flood victims attacking rescue   
   teams, NDRF has slowed down its day operations and   
   intensified the same during nights. This is helping   
   targeted recue based on categorization of worst affected   
   areas without teams being waylaid, said sources. That the   
   weather has cleared out with full moon nights, is only   
   helping the situation.   
      
   The move has even resulted in greater efficiency with   
   NDRF sources claiming they have been able to rescue more   
   people during the night. While 18,600 people had been   
   rescued by NDRF till Wednesday, the figure reached over   
   30,000 by Thursday night.
