XPost: alt.niggers, talk.politics.guns, wny.general       XPost: sac.politics       From: nigger-lovers@disney.com              Rochester, N.Y. – The husband of Rochester’s mayor, charged in       connection with a drug and weapons investigation, is now facing       federal charges.              Court papers state Timothy Granison and five others are facing       charges including conspiracy with intent to distribute, and       distribute, at least 280 grams or more of cocaine base and at       least 500 grams or more of cocaine.              Granison was one of several people arrested last month in       connection with a months-long wiretap investigation into what       prosecutors called a mid-level drug operation in Rochester.       Investigators say Granison was pulled over on Birch Crescent on       May 19, and was in possession of cocaine.              A search warrant was executed at a Woodlawn Park home where       Granison and Mayor LovelY Warren live. Investigators say an       unregistered gun and a rifle were located.              Granison was charged with criminal possession of a controlled       substance and criminal possession of a firearm. The mayor is not       facing charges in connection with the investigation.              Court papers obtained by 13WHAM present new details on the       investigation and the alleged drug operation. According to a       criminal complaint, the operation was led by defendant Jason       Siplin since at least August of last year. Siplin is accused of       obtaining large amounts of cocaine on a regular basis, utilizing       it to operate a drug house on Glenwood Avenue. Court papers       state fellow defendants Ernest Gamble and Lytrice Jackson helped       package drugs for sale on the streets and performed hand-to-hand       transactions, while Siplin’s son, Jason Siplin, Jr., served as       an upper-level worker.              The papers allege Siplin, Sr. sold Granison bulk quantities of       cocaine, and that Granison in turn distributed them to other       drug traffickers, including Dkeidron Dublin.              At the time of Granison’s arrest, investigators said he had not       originally been the focus of the investigation.              Between August and April, court papers say a number of       controlled buys were performed by confidential informants. The       documents go on to chronicle information on intercepted phone       calls collected over the course of the investigation, including       alleged calls between Siplin and Granison in which the Glenwood       address was mentioned.              Granison was arrested on May 19, allegedly found in possession       of about 31 grams of cocaine. Prosecutors say the drugs were       found wrapped in a paper towel on the floor of his vehicle.              Multiple search warrants were executed around the period of May       19, including on the Glenwood address. Prosecutors say, at the       time, people inside the home were trying to flush drugs down a       toilet in the home. More than 80 small baggies with cocaine were       allegedly recovered.              Siplin, Siplin, Jr., Gamble and Dublin made initial appearances       in court Monday morning before being detained. Prosecutors say       Granison was released on conditions following an initial       appearance.              John DeMarco, Granison's attorney, says a majority of the       lengthy criminal complaint doesn't involve his client. He also       said he and Granison were prepared for this possibility.              "It’s not unexpected," he said. "The federal law, with respect       to these types of charges, is a little bit more lenient, if you       will, in terms of what the required proof would consist of. So       we were not surprised by this development."              In a statement Monday, City of Rochester Communications Director       Justin Roj said, “As Mayor Warren has stated, this investigation       has nothing to do with her and she will not allow it, or       anything else, to distract her from meeting the needs of our       city’s people and caring for her daughter. That continues to be       true today.”              https://13wham.com/news/local/mayors-husband-5-others-now-facing-       federal-charges-in-cocaine-investigation              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
