ACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A second person was arrested
in the murder of a former Microsoft executive.

On February 16, 2022, in Jacksonville Beach, 33-year-old Jared
Bridegan was shot and killed outside of his car, with his 2-year-
   old daughter still inside.

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said on Thursday, March
16, investigators arrested 34-year-old Mario Fernandez Saldana —
the husband of Bridegan's ex-wife — in central Florida without
incident, in connection to the fatal shooting. A grand jury
indicted him on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to
murder, child abuse and solicitation to commit a capital felony.

In the arrest affidavit, Bridegan was driving back with his
children from "date night" dinner. He had already dropped off
his two 9-year-old twins that he shared with his ex-wife Shanna
Gardner. He and his 2-year-old daughter turned onto Sanctuary
Boulevard, a route he typically took home.

   However, this night was different.

The arrest affidavit stated, that the road was dark and a
residential street. As he continued down the road, Bridegan came
upon a damaged tire. So, he turned on his hazards and left his
car to move the tire. That was when he was shot and killed.

Witnesses at the scene said the toddler was crying when they
   went out to investigate.

What confused investigators was there was nothing stolen from
the scene. Bridegan's car, phone, wallet, wedding ring and watch
were still at the scene. Investigators believed the tire on the
road was purposeful, in order to get Bridegan out of the car.

On Jan. 25, the first person was arrested in connection to
Bridegan's murder. Henry Tenon, 61, was charged with second
degree murder with a weapon, conspiracy to commit murder,
accessory after the fact and child abuse.

Melissa Nelson, State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District,
who announced the arrest also stated, "that Tenon did not act
   alone," during a news conference.

An investigation revealed a single link between Bridegan and
Tenon — Fernandez Saldana, the affidavit stated. Fernandez
Saldana wrote three checks to Tenon, as well as, 35 phone
   contacts in February.

Tenon has also agreed to, "testify truthfully against any
accomplice," in a statement released by State Attorney Nelson's
   office.
