From: edward.j.rhodes@verizon.net              I bought my wife the 13" television and DVD set for her birthday. The       picture on the television is very good, sharp and clear. The DVD player is a       good basic machine although it won't play all formats, no CD+R or anything       of that nature. That didn't bother me, I knew for the price I was getting a       very basic machine. But I do have a couple of gripes.              Would it have killed them to include a $4.95 antenna so you could get a       television signal?              The DVD player has stereo outputs, the TV only has a mono input. Again, a       trip to Radio Shack and a $2.50 adapter took care of that, but it wouldn't       have been that big a deal to handle it at the factory?              And the big one.              Who the HELL decided we need a light to be on to tell us the DVD player is       turned off?!!! I could see a light to let us know it was on, that way we       wouldn't waste electricity running the DVD player while the TV was off. But       now it's sitting there using power to tell me it's turned off! What brain       thought THAT one up?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
