XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics, alt.anonymous       XPost: alt.politics.homosexuality       From: atroll@google.com              Actor Shia LaBeouf, who relocated his anti-President Trump       webcam exhibit to New Mexico, announced Thursday that gunshots       forced him to pull the plug at the new site.              “We have taken the stream down after shots were reported in the       area. The safety of everybody participating in our project is       paramount,” he tweeted Thursday morning.              LaBeouf took his controversial “He Will Not Divide Us” webcam       exhibit to Albuquerque after Queens’ Museum of the Moving Image       shut it down Feb. 10, saying it became a “flashpoint of       violence.”              In announcing the move Saturday, the trio who created the work —       LaBeouf, Luke Turner and Nastia Sade Ronkko — blasted the Queens       museum for abandoning their exhibit.              The work, which included a livestream webcam outside the Astoria       museum, began filming on Inauguration Day, and was to be in       place 24/7, for the duration of Trump’s presidency.              Participants were encouraged to chant “He will not divide us!”       into the video.              But clashes between pro- and anti-Trump factions were too much       for museum brass. LaBeouf also was busted on site last month       after a scuffle.              It didn’t take long for the actor’s work to encounter trouble in       New Mexico.              After three days on display at the Historic El Rey Theater, it       was vandalized Monday night, the Albuquerque Journal reported.              “Reject False Idols. Do It!” vandals spray-painted in pink.              By Tuesday afternoon, the dome cover of the camera was cleaned       by local residents.              Albuquerque police did not immediately respond to a call for       comment.              http://pagesix.com/2017/02/23/gunshots-force-shia-labeouf-to-       yank-webcam-exhibit/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
