   It's time for Final Thoughts.   
      
   Attorney General Jeff Sessions this week had the good enough   
   sense to challenge the lunacy that is California's "sanctuary   
   state" status. The Justice Department is finally filing a   
   lawsuit against the not-so-Golden State over three pieces of   
   legislation that interfere with federal immigration policy.   
   Amen, and hallelujah!   
      
   Of course, because the Democratic Party is obsessed with illegal   
   immigrants, California's favorite lefties are going into   
   meltdown mode: We've got Governor Jerry Brown hell-bent on   
   providing sanctuary for illegals, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf   
   aiding and abetting illegal immigrants - helping them evade ICE   
   agents, and Senator Kamala Harris ready to fight Sessions for   
   "bullying" California … and by "bullying," she means enforcing   
   federal immigration laws.   
      
   And it's not just wacky Californians. Oh, no.   
      
   This liberal illness has even spread to deep Red Texas, where   
   one sheriff is refusing to sign a letter saying she'll cooperate   
   with ICE ... sacrificing a grant that would have given her   
   deputies life-saving body armor in the process.   
      
   Really?!   
      
   So let me get this straight. Democrats are placing illegal   
   immigrants over American citizens, American workers, legal   
   immigrants, and immigration and local law enforcement officers.   
      
   Level-headed, realistic, red, white and blue American Democrats,   
   does that seem right to you? To borrow a favorite liberal   
   question: How does that make you feel?   
      
   Is this really the Democratic Party you once knew? The party   
   that was once about blue-collar Americans, the underdog, the   
   factory worker, the little guy.   
      
   I hate to tell ya', but your party has forgotten you. Top dog   
   Democrats don't care about you, or your struggles anymore.   
      
   Think I'm kidding? When was the last time your Democratic   
   representative fought for your job, your industry, your   
   livelihood?   
      
   As far as I can tell, your party has focused on just three   
   things: Attacking Trump, obsessing over Russia, dossiers and   
   porn stars, and of course, coddling illegal immigrants. That's   
   their agenda.   
      
   Where do you fit in? You don't.   
      
   You fight every day to put food on the table, pay the bills, and   
   send your children to college. But instead of fighting for you,   
   giving you a hand-up, a voice, a fighting chance, your party is   
   hyper-focused on protecting people that have no legal right to   
   be here - some of whom don't even respect this country enough to   
   follow our laws.   
      
   Does that sound like a party worth putting in office? Not in my   
   book.   
      
   Yes, this nation was founded on immigrants - but also on laws.   
   And guess what? Laws matter.
