From: slider@anashram.com              > looks like the end of the road here nagual.       > the trail went cold, what can i tell ya?              ### - nada to tell, era's come to their ends and we're supposed to learn       something from the whole experience/road or be doomed to repeat it heh,       the only real question being: was it a path with heart or not?              would personally have to say that it did indeed have heart, plenty       actually, the vast majority of peeps have met here, their sometimes       annoying/petty sides notwithstanding heh, were decent enough sorts from       all walks of life, all actively 'probing' the world rather than just being       a passive 9-to-5 type, seekers all, and that made 'em more interesting       than just yer average plonker in the street...                                   > i only spent 26 years here pulling my pud.              ### - smile... if it hadn't been 'here' it likely just would've been       somewhere else instead? (that's the type you were + it could have been far       worse i mean haha, ya could've just spent the last 26 years in the       scientologists! LOL ! think on THAT oh lordy, and then kiss the ground       haha)              as it goes... cc's thing is/was just about the closest thing to buddhism       without actually being buddhism? i.e., buddhism is just about the only       movement (of supposed self-development) that doesn't worship some kinda       ultimate deity (no god) so ALL the effort involved perforce has to be a       personal journey of climbing up to/reaching some kinda peak of inner human       development/ability...              coz that's ALL there actually is, ya know?              most people don't bother at all so they ain't going nowhere then, content       to just be a part of whatever society happens to be around at the time in       a twilight sleep, they have no other interests possibly because they're       just simple-minded, although i can't/don't really accept that... and b'coz       surely it's really more just a matter of education & nurture than anything       else... and because there's really very few paths/roads that actually lead       to anything worth having anyway!?              the buddhists, for example, only lead people to ultimately find...       themselves              to look 'within' for all the answers without turning into a loony in the       process...              that whole path 'designed' to end at some distinct point! (i.e. ya slowly       swap-out the original societal form for a buddhist form only to then       abandon that form altogether too! thus leavin' ya with the only thing that       was yours all along: your original self minus all/any programming heh,       someone whose then in the perfect position to see things for how they       really are and thus become aware of a completely different knowledge-set)              'everything' else is just wallyworld bs haha :)))              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
