   said 'midway point' being the very next stop for this dude when he   
   eventually realises that it's his 'choice' in the matter that actually   
   counts/makes all the difference...   
      
   i.e., you keep seeing/experiencing this void fleetingly until you notice   
   it and then 'choose' to explore it, at which point it becomes a 3rd option   
    from which pov all the specials/replays lite-up haha...
