From: slider@anashram.com              ### - haha was just in the process of 'joyfully' reordering the next       prescription today, when their whole portal started going wonky and then       crashed altogether LOL ! :D              the 'problem' from before having not yet apparently been upgraded to work       correctly, although she did say it would take a couple of months...       nevertheless, it required yet another phone call to them to correct this       continuing issue, the very nice lady i spoke to not only manually making       the order for me over the phone, but also explained that the whole portal       was down and giving them problems, their phone lines jammed with similar       calls for manual assistance, which if it's been going-on for the last       month or more must be a nightmare for them!              she soon sorted old slider out anyway and are working hard for their       money! sorting me out in about only 7 minutes total, although how exactly       they're coping with several thousand scripts per month i don't know...              meanwhile then, whew, alarm over and jack herer + candy store is on the       way, more pineapple god and a new one too, cool...              jack herer being the only mystery here, chances being that what was great       30 years ago might not be quite so great by todays standards? e.g., can       remember skunk-1 arriving and everyone being curious about it, this       followed by skunk-2 or super-skunk, which really WAS the business, man       that WAS different! and powerful? can remember poor old postman-john lying       on the floor shivering in full whitey/panic-mode for instance haha (not       funny really) AND it had the power to send you on an excursion to-boot!       (full military strength heh), super skunk, that was really very good! it       being a few years more before jack herer then won the cannabis cup,       everyone agreeing it was the best ever, something really special, which       it'd HAVE to be to beat that super-skunk! jeeze, the first time for moi       being in an amsterdam cafe after having a breakfast and scoring some of it        from the dude downstairs, and which looked a bit fluffy or lite to me, but       assured me it was fine...              my concerns completely vanishing when only 20 minutes later i was       literally forced to leave that comfortable cafe with the lovely ladies       serving behind the counter, and staggered out into the street into what       looked like another world altogether lol, fuck me, the going was       difficult? could hardly walk straight was sooo stoned, it not just being       high that's the problem so much as all the inputs crowding-into your       perception you're not used to processing! shit like the almost tangible       vibes coming-off of the people around you, most of then completely unaware       of it but some of them very aware of it! (which can get a bit scary heh as       they're obviously better at it, possibly because they're in that mode all       the time... that's the feeling anyway) the sensation of being only a       visitor being both disconcerting and comforting at the same time!              gonna give old-jack every chance though and thus try to be straight at the       time (straight-er at any rate haha) so fingers crossed huh ;)              the name 'jack' always making me think of Kerouac, whose writing was       definitely influenced/affected by, coz oh man how he lived, burning his       candle at both ends he accordingly burned very brightly and died younger       than he should, his exacting journey not being unlike rimbaud's:       relentless, and performed with ultimate energy (or amphetamines in jack's       case heh) to bursting point, very successfully sharing his vision via his       writing before splitting the scene, you did good jack, cheers for the       effort...              he was the real deal alright ;)              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
