   There is a lot of talk in the body of Christ about the seer. In the Word of   
   God there IS mention of the seer;   
      
   1. 1 Samuel 9:9 (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God,   
   thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a   
   Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)   
      
   Some are in their Prophetic gifting as a seer and some are in their calling   
   as a seer. There remains more to be revealed about the seer. There are ever   
   great articles on the internet and books written about the seer.   
      
   There are just two things I want to speak on regarding the seer. This   
   revelation is not intended to define and tell the purpose of the seer, but   
   rather just to speak on those two things I have in mention regarding the   
   seer.   
      
   The first thing is NEVER worship or glorify the gifting or gift more than   
   the Creator (God)! This is integral when speaking of the seer. When the   
   gifting or calling of seer is worshipped, the devil knows that we are out of   
   order. He will come in and plant ungodly things that come from the vanity   
   and lusts of the mind rather than pure vision from the Lord Jesus Christ and   
   the Spirit of God. When we see anything, it is only because the Spirit of   
   God is showing us these things;   
      
   1 Corinthians 2:10-11 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for   
   the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man   
   knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so   
   the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   
      
   The second thing I want to speak on is about receiving vision and "seeing"   
   things in the spirit realm. Always check what you've seen with the Spirit of   
   God. Remember we need the ministry of God the Father, God the Son and God   
   the Holy Ghost! Don't be ran insane by what you're seeing. Everything isn't   
   just seeing in the spirit realm. When sharing with someone the other day   
   about what they were "seeing" I was brought to;   
      
   1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord   
   come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will   
   make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have   
   praise of God.   
      
   So even though you're "seeing" by the Spirit of God, wait for the Lord to   
   come. We need the complete ministry of the Eternal Godhead before saying   
   what we're seeing is anything. We are human and we do not always understand   
   what we are seeing. A ministry one time told me that I wasn't an Apostle   
   because I had too much witchcraft around me. This is an example of NOT   
   seeing the complete picture. Let's look at this in the Word;   
      
   1 Corinthians 13:9-10 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when   
   that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done   
   away.   
      
   It takes the Eternal Godhead to do away with the "part." So check everything   
   you're seeing with the Eternal Godhead before you speak on it or commit it   
   to you're learning. Remember the wicked one can show us things too. I once   
   thought I knew many things because of what I was seeing. The Lord had to   
   deliver me of MUCH and then now I do not solely depend on just seeing. I let   
   the Lord tell me things now. I am still shown many things but unless the   
   Lord is speaking to me, I do not listen nor pay attention to what I am see.   
   We must remember that we are human and we are inquisitive. We want to know   
   this and that. Let the ministry of the Eternal Godhead bring order to what   
   you are seeing.   
      
   Another thing is that just because we have seen something, that doesn't mean   
   we know what it is. The seer gifting or calling is NOT to be nosy and look   
   into people's lives to find out their favorite sins or vices. If you are   
   using the seer gifting/calling for this then you need to repent and confess   
   and get things right with the Father. The enemy has a trap for you and you   
   will no longer see pure things but you will be seeing perversion and   
   distorted things. Remember, let the Spirit of God show you things. What ever   
   the Lord shows you, then you can count on this being pure.   
      
   As the Lord gives more revelation about the seer, we will be looking at   
   this.   
      
      
      
      
      
      
      
   A SEER is A PROPHET   
      
   You can find this in: - I Samuel 9:9   
      
   - Amos 7:12   
      
   - Isaiah 30:10   
      
   - II Samuel 24: 11 and   
      
   - Numbers 22:1-21   
      
   EXAMPLES OF A SEER   
      
   The following scriptures give us the examples of a seer: -   
      
   (a) Exodus 28:30 (Aaron)   
      
   (b) II Samuel 24: 11 (Gad the prophet)   
      
   ( c) I Chronicles 29: 29 ( Samuel the Seer,   
      
   Nathan the prophet and Gad the seer).   
      
   DUTIES OF A SEER   
      
   We can also find out the duties of a seer as follows: -   
      
   (i) Lead God's people (Numbers 27:21, Judges 1:1)   
      
   (ii) Receive God's message to his people (II Samuel 24:11).   
      
   (iii) Israelites had to inquire God from the seers ( Genesis 25:22).   
      
   (iv) They had to warn God's people against their evil deeds.   
      
   (II Kings 17:13). Failure to heed them, we can't escape God's wrath (Judges   
   20:18-28). Find more about these in I Samuel chapter 9:1 and Numbers 22:23;
