   Assuming the al cero interpretation is simply a blind, I would interpret it   
   by recombining the words 'alcero' and 'gate' to get 'alce rogate', which in   
   Spanish and (sort of) in Latin means 'ask of the elk'. There, that should   
   give you something to work with!
