   Hi,

On the rare occasion when I have a lucid dream (I know this is a dream),
I try to take advantage to a small degree. Note: I do not try to change the
scenery or anything in the dream. What you see in a lucid dream
   becomes very vivid ("real").

When I said, "I like to take advantage", this is what I really mean:
My last lucid dream (some time ago), I was outside near a brick building.
I wondered what it would be like to touch the bricks, which is what I did.
It felt like the "real thing".

Unfortunately, I am unable to stay in a lucid dream very long (I wake
   up).

I have read some time ago, a method to trigger a lucid dream while you
are dreaming, is to do a "reality check". You have to train yourself to do a
"reality check" when ever a certain image or sound occurs in your dream.
I have not trained myself to do this yet.
