   I think it was the former, not the latter. There are some rules you   
   should break, and some that you shouldn't (for your own safety and such).

   I can see how fasting could be a physical way of non-attaching yourself,

   If you want to create everything on your own, you'll be busy finishing   
   it in one lifetime. Many have spent their lives collecting information,   
   so why not build on that foundation and create something no-one could   
   have done alone.

   Mental and emotional balance can be a delicate thing, as well as your   
   body and its functioning. Not something to mess around with.
