   > Hello to everyone. I am new to this group and would like to ask some
   > questions. I should tell you that I joined this group for my
   > humanities class. We are suppose to pick a subculture on the web and
   > get to know them.

   Kellie...
Are you college age? High school?
Tell us a little about yourself...
   what country, state, region?

   I bet you are hot...
What color panties are you wearing?

   > My group picked dreams because they found your posts
   > interesting. I hope you are all willing to get involved and help us
   > understand the subculture a little better.

We are a sub-culture from outer space... you shall be assimilated...
there is no escape, you are one of us...
   drink the kool-aid...

we dream the infinite dream, so, someday, shall you...

   > I will only ask one
   > question at a time

   I will too...
   1) what color panties are you wearing?
   ^)

   > just to see if you are all interested in helping
   > us. Here goes: Where did dreams originate from? What religions,
   > countries, myths, etc.?

Dreams are non-secular, timeless, mysterious and completely without
boundaries, except for the boundaries we ourselves impose. To ask from where
did dreams originate is like asking an Aboriginese who invented the
DreamTime... Dreams most likely originated wherever and whenever sentient
   consciousness came into being.

It must've began when the first sentient being slithered out of the
primordial ooze and began knowing him/herself as a counscious perceiver.

Now if you want to talk about mythology and the nature man's symbolic
forms... that is another subject, like recorded history.
You'll have to ask another question for that.
