   So are you calling this group "dreams", and asking where the group   
   originated from? You might be better off calling it alt.dreams , to   
   avoid confusion.   
      
   I have no idea where most people on this newsgroup are from, or what   
   religion they practice. On the Usenet, those things don't matter that   
   much. Like Laura said, I don't think you could call this newsgroup a   
   subculture. Perhaps fans/followers of Carlos Castaneda could be a better   
   defined group? I have no idea how many of them hang around here, though.
