   Talking to her about it (no need to make a big deal out of it - tell the   
   story in a "Here's something that might amuse you" sort of way) would seem   
   to answer most of your questions.   
      
   If we take an ultra-condensed version of the dream:   
   - You spoke to her for a bit in the dream, decided to meet in an astral   
   realm, got bitten by a ferrett, went looking for her and got lost trying to   
   find her.   
      
   It suggests to me that dreams aren't the most reliable meeting-places.   
   (This is not a put-down, I post to alt.religion.shamanism.)   
      
   There is a story of a conversation with an aboriginal elder that went like   
   this:   
   White Guy: So, you guys can make telepathic connections across the desert?   
   Elder: Yes.   
   WG: So, why do you have a phone?   
   E: It's easier.   
      
   Maybe the ferrett knew that you weren't following an optimal strategy?  (Or   
   maybe it was just hungry.  I don't know much about ferretts.)
