Fear will be one of your biggest enemies in achieving the lucid state.
In my opinion there is no fear of anything "possessing" your body during
   an obe.

So you basically want a "safe drug"? I'm afraid there is no such thing,
although lucid dreaming probably is safe for most people most of the
time. Perhaps you should still re-evaluate your motives and concerns?

To give an other viewpoint, many, many people see and use lucid dreaming
as a fun tool, and to no ill effects. Since you enjoyed your first
experience, perhaps you should try to explore the lucid state more for
yourself and get your information that way.

   Cheers, KC
